The following policies and procedures apply to the operation of kilkenny kids before and after school care programme.
Your signed Enrolment Form confirms that you understand and accept these policies and procedures and acknowledge that your child(ren) enter kilkenny kids at your own risk. Although proper care will be exercised at all times, kilkenny kids cannot accept responsibility for misadventure. Daily routine
In order to ensure that the programme is a happy and safe environment for the children who attend kilkenny kids, the programme consists of structured and unstructured routine supervised at all times.
3.00pm – 3.30pm Children arrive at school hall put away school bags and have refreshment. Roll is called and children have afternoon tea. 3.30pm Homework Playgrounds are open and children have the choice to go to the playground or stay inside. When Point View School change to winter uniform children at afterschool care also need to wear jumpers and shoes when they go to the playground or are involved in activities outside. Activities – baking, free play, drawing, crafts, inside sports In wet weather only will PlayStation and x-box be available 4.00pm Children can now go on their personal devices 5.00pm -5.45pm Tidy-up and finishing activities Small group activities until are collected by authorised person. 5.45pm – Close Pick up
We are open until 5.45pm daily. Children must be collected by this time.
A late pick up fee will apply if your child(ren) are in our care after 5.45pm. When a child(ren) has not been collected by 6.00pm and staff have not been notified they will proceed to contact people on the enrolment form for someone to collect the child(ren). At no time will a child(ren) be abandoned, however the programme staff are authorised to take all necessary steps to ensure the safety and well-being of the child(ren). Should no one be able to be contacted, we have no other choice but to contact the police. Late fee is $5.00 within every 5 minutes and payable on the night, for example, 5 - 10minutes late will incur a $10.00 charge, 10 - 15 minutes late will incur a $15 charge.
